Route Summary
Spicy walk that starts quietly along the banks of the Rhine. The moment you dive into the hills near Oberkassel, it is occasionally a nice calf biter. Absolutely recommended, and Bonn is of course a nice city to stay

RouteXpert Review
Walk of the Bonn - Königswinter (Rheinsteig) stage This hike is a tough calf bitter that requires a firm climb.
I checked the walk from the HERE map with the OpenStreet Map because not all hiking trails on the HERE map are visible.
The walk starts at the IBIS Hotel in Bonn, Vorgebirgsstrasse 33. Here I parked the car in the parking garage under the Hotel and took an overnight stay. The next day, after breakfast, I did my walking clothes and shoes and took the route through the city to the Rhine. I chose to take the ferry to the other side of the Rhine where I followed the boulevard for some time.
We walk into a beautiful wooded area via a hiking trail that dives into the woods over the motorway. Beautiful views of lakes and the Rhine line together.
