RouteXpert Review
This ride takes us through the Belgian and Dutch Kempen. The largest part runs across Dutch territory. The road surface is therefore optimal. That is definitely enjoying!
The military airport of Gilze-Rije is located near the heathland near Gilze. From here, regular training flights are kept low flying. So you have a lot of chance to see a chinook helicopter flying close up.
The largest dune area starts in Loon-op-Zand. This is very extensive. It can be a bit busy during the weekend because there are many hikers and cyclists. There is also a choice in the hospitality sector.
Back in Belgium you pass the Domain Merksplas Colony with the Prison Museum. This can be visited in group or individually.
