RouteXpert Review
The West Flemish motorcyclists are always looking forward to this annual meeting with a route along the quiet Flemish and "French-Flemish" roads, in the direction of northern France. This is the checked route of 2011. RP 9 along the Death Walk -> http://www.ijzerfront1418.be/museum/dodengang
RP 10 along the Ijzertoren and the museum -> http://www.ijzerfront1418.be/museum/museumaandijzer
RP 17 Sint-Sixtus Abbey Westvleteren.
The abbey and brewery can not be visited. The interested party can go to 'The Claustrum', an information space in the meeting center 'In de Vrede', right in front of the abbey. Here the monks offer you an insight into their monastic life. In this meeting center with a large terrace you can also enjoy the delicious abbey cheese, croque monsieur, paté and trappist ice cream. In the accompanying shopping corner the Trappist beer is for sale (not always in stock). Parking available.
RP 22 cozy little village square, Watouplein, with various food and beverage outlets. There are not many more options along this national route.
