RouteXpert Review Bert Loorbach, the writer, is an enthusiastic motorcyclist himself and lived in France for a year and a half. During that time he devoted himself to mapping the unknown and beautiful roads of France especially for motorcyclists.
Hotels, campsites, places of interest, parking spaces and restaurants are listed as POIs.
The ride starts in Concarneau from where we drive via Pont-l'Abbé to the picturesque fishing village of Loctudy (RP4).
From Loctudy we follow the coastline to the fishing village of Lesconil, where you can stop for a walk along the beautiful rugged coast (RP10).
Via Guilvinec we drive towards La Pointe de Penmarch, we drive along the coast and on the way we enjoy the panorama. At RP14 Site Pointe de Men Meur you can stop to take a picture. For beach lovers there is the possibility to stop at RP15 Plage du Ster, a very beautiful and wide sandy beach.
The drive continues to La Pointe de Penmarch and here it is very worthwhile to stop and climb the 65 meter high lighthouse Phare d'Eckmühl (RP17) and enjoy the beautiful view. There are also several restaurants and cafés for lunch.
We continue the drive to Saint Guénolé (RP18) and is known for its rocks on which the waves crash, so it is certainly worth stopping. For enthusiasts there is the possibility to plan a visit in the Museum de la Prehistore (RP20).
We drive via Plonéour-Lanvern and Pouldreuzic to Penhors, from where we continue the coastline to Plouhinec, again beautiful panoramas to enjoy. You pass several nice villages and places where you can stop to stretch your legs or take a picture.
The end point of the trip is Pointe de Raz (RP31), this is a strait and fright of sailors. It is a beautiful walk and you will be treated to a beautiful view. To the north of Pointe de Raz are a number of beautiful viewpoints.
This route is not long and the roads are good, but not spectacular. Along the way there is much to see, panoramas are beautiful and there is ample opportunity to stop in beautiful (fishing) villages.
