Route Summary
First a good deal of connecting route on fast roads. The rolling landscape changes from sloping, to hilly to seriously mountainous with the Julian Alps as a highlight. Lake Bled is another highlight and hairpin bends with vowels we also encounter. An overnight location can always be found around the Faaker See.

RouteXpert Review
An epic route from Croatia, through Slovenia to the Faaker See in Austria. To put it right, you have more time, stay a few days in the Julian Alps in Slovenia, it is beautiful there. We drove this route in 2018 after the Jadranska Magistrale (coastal road Croatia). At the lake of Bled we have a delicious lunch with a phenomenal view, then 2 passes, the first pass is a warm up for the second, the Vršič Pass, the highest pass in Slovenia and challenging to ride, especially with bad weather, there lie vowels in the hairpin bends! The route is too long for the beautiful, if you have more time, do it in 2 days and at least add another driving day in the Julian Alps. Of course, the route was carefully made with the waypoints correctly placed and the same for TomTom, Garmin and MyRoute-app Navigation.
