Route Summary
Ever since the early 90s of the last century, Promotor has been setting out the so-called Tank Bag Tours. You understand that the name still comes from the GPS-free era, when motorcyclists still searched their way on inland roads with a roadbook in the tank bag or router roll. The 173 ANWB Promoter TankTasTocht (TTT) were scanned by Henry ten Dam and signed by Leon Stolk in Mapsource and later placed as a Track in a .gpx file. These have been made available through the MrGPS website with the approval of the ANWB Promoter so that everyone can enjoy it. The 1st TTT is from 1992, so the route may differ slightly from the original.
I have checked all route points and, where necessary, placed them neatly on the road. Also, if necessary, I have further spaced the start point and end point of the route to avoid navigating directly to the end point and I added the POI files from the start and end point just like a possible stopping point.
Finally, I made the route the same for TomTom, Garmin and MyRoute-app Navigation users.
Thanks to Henry, Leon, MrGPS and Promoter.

RouteXpert Review
This TTT starts in Assen at the Van der Valk hotel, and goes over mainly beautiful roads through the province of Groningen and Drenthe to the end point in Wijster. Whoever says Assen, says the TT Circuit, we now ignore the circuit and drive to the far north, more than enough country roads with the accompanying peace and quiet. We set sail from Assen to Groningen and on the way you pass the Oostervoortsche Diep, this is a stream that flows into the Lieversche Diep between Lieveren and Langelo, which is also called the Kleine Diep.
In Peize we go south again and you pass the Noord-Willemskanaal, this is the shipping connection between the Drentsche Hoofdvaart to the west of Assen and the city of Groningen, approximately parallel to the A28. The channel is 38 km long and has a depth of 2 m.
Then you enter the Drentsche Aa National Landscape, where you can enjoy the centuries-old cart tracks, burial mounds, dolmens and gallows. Driving along the quiet roads you see water, the heaths and the fens and the vast forests with their sandy lakes and beaches. The colors and sounds of nature, the birds, the butterflies and the stream. Discover the Drenthe heath cows and the largest herd of sheep in Drenthe.
A great opportunity to capture some old things in the photo.
A stop is planned in Groeve at the Kersebloesem, here you can stop for lunch or coffee, directly on the Hunze. The Hunze is a river located in the border region of Drenthe and Groningen, east of the Hondsrug. The Hunze used to extend to the Wadden Sea.
We continue on through Spijkerboor to Rolde, where you have the option to capture a hunnebed on the photo, you then have to get off the route by following the signs.
After Rolde you pass the Deurzerdiep, this is one of the headwaters of the Drentsche Aa. The Deurzerdiep starts at Schieven, where the Amerdiep and the Amerdiep merge. The deep then flows north along Deurze. The Amerdiep is one of the headwaters of the Drentsche Aa. The Amerdiep is part of a system of streams, collectively called the Drentsche Aa. The Amerdiep has its source in the area Holmers-Halkenbroek, located between the foresters Grolloo and Hooghalen. We drive further and just before the end point in Wijser, just below Beilen you pass the Linthorst Homan Canal, this lies between Beilen and Noordscheschut and connects the Beilervaart with Hoogeveense Vaart. The canal was opened in 1926. In 1927, a year after the opening, 1200 ships sailed through the canal.
In Wijster we will close this TTT at Café-Slijterij Pot.
Because I have not (yet) driven this route myself, this route gets 3 stars.
