Or see a pipeline on Sunset Beach. But Waimea Bay is also worth a visit, it is located on the north coast of Oahu and is known for its high waves of up to 9 meters. These high waves are caused by winter storms in the Pacific Ocean and can only be seen during the winter months. The best view of these high waves is from Kamehameha Highway, but you have to be there on time, because this is a well-known and favorite vantage point. In the summer months the water is calm and tranquil.
