RouteXpert Review
Today we go to Thuringia, through beautiful roads we sway the Harz. Unfortunately we drive along a few detours along the way, which ensure that we have to choose an alternative route. We drive for a large part through the National park Harz, where we stop at a T-junction for a cup of coffee with a cake. Soon after coffee we enter the former East Germany, we are in Thuringia! You can clearly see that you are in the former East Germany, there are large brown signs with white letters showing the former border.
Again the environment is beautiful and you can still see a lot of things that you are in former East Germany.
Thüringen is also working hard on the road, witness the state of the road, some parts are still really bad and some are like a billiard table with winding roads and larger roads. After a day of driving we arrive in Miesitz, where, after having parked the bikes behind the hotel under the roof, we move into Hotel Wutzler.

About this region
Bremerhaven (German pronunciation: [ˌbʁeːmɐˈhaːfn̩] (listen), lit. 'Bremener Harbour', Low German: Bremerhoben) is a city at the seaport of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, a state of the Federal Republic of Germany.
It forms a semi-enclave in the state of Lower Saxony and is located at the mouth of the Weser on its eastern bank, opposite the town of Nordenham. Though a relatively new city, it has a long history as a trade port and today is one of the most important German ports, playing a role in Germany's trade.
Wesermünde was a neighboring city created in 1924 through the merger of Geestemünde and Lehe. In 1939, Bremerhaven was incorporated into Wesermünde, but in 1947 the cities were collectively renamed as Bremerhaven and returned to the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen.
