Route Summary The eighth day is a tour through the Eifel region and Luxembourg. The route starts and finishes at Red House on the Hill in Barweiler. A beautiful, winding ride through stunning scenery, passing through meadows, forests, and hills, along rivers, through charming valleys and small villages, and past beautiful castles and palaces.
I rate this route 5 stars because of the beautiful winding roads in the Eifel and Luxembourg and the sights you can visit.

RouteXpert Review We'll ride on beautiful roads with many lovely (hairpin) bends through a beautiful and varied environment, passing meadows, forests, hills, rivers, through beautiful valleys and small villages, where you'll also find many beautiful castles.
Unfortunately, we couldn't drive through the well-known Müllerthal due to a closure, but we drove part of it on day 7 and there are several routes with the Müllerthal available in the MRA library.
After a hearty breakfast, we depart for Adenau. After about a two-hour drive along the beautiful, winding roads of the Eifel region, we enter Belgium at Welchenhaußen.
After about 5 km, we arrive at the tri-border area of Germany, Belgium, and Luxembourg. You can stop here to take a picture of the memorial stones and the European Monument. We now enter Luxembourg and enjoy the expansive, hilly landscape, with its beautiful winding roads and castles, which are often clearly visible from the road.
At Dasburg we enter Luxembourg again, where we drive south along the Our River (also largely the border between Germany and Luxembourg) to Vianden.
In Vianden we stop for lunch and there is also the opportunity to visit the castle or just stroll around this beautiful town.
After lunch, we continue south to Wallendorf, where the Our River joins the Sure River. Here, we cross the border into Germany and continue to Bollendorf, where you can stop for a drink if you like.
We continue our journey north towards Neuerburg, Waxweiler and Gerolstein, where we also drive a beautiful winding section between Densborn and Gerolstein.
After this day we will sit down for a delicious BBQ and a drink at the cozy bar in Red House on the Hill.
