TTT 2012 02 Zutphen Doetinchem
Published: 11/08/2019
Zutphen in de schemer
This TTT starts in Zutphen and goes mainly over beautiful roads via the nature reserve "Grote Veld *", via the photo point "Ehzerallee" to the Amsensche Veld.
* In the past you could look to Lochem, Vorden and Almen. This 'field' was that big! But even though the name suggests otherwise, it is no longer a heath field. Grote Veld is a large forest with heather fields in it, where you can walk nicely.
After you have crossed the canal for the 2nd time it goes towards Haaksbergen where a stop is planned at "Bi'j de Watermölle". After the stop it continues towards Korenburgerveen ** and then Lichtenvoorde, Varsseveld and Etten (south of Doetinchem), where this TTT has the end point.
** Korenburgerveen is a nature reserve northwest of Winterswijk in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is largely owned by Vereniging Natuurmonumenten and forms a geographical and ecological whole with the Meddosche Veen, the Vragenderveen and the Corlese Veen. (Source: Wikipedia).

Because I have not (yet) driven this route myself, this route gets 3 stars.

Route details:
The route has been made the same for TomTom, Garmin and MyRoute-app Navigation users. That has been successful everywhere except in Animals between route point 39 and 40 (Purple), where TomTom and Garmin disagree. Not a big problem, if you drive alone you just follow the instructions of your GPS, if you drive in a group then you follow the driver. From route point 40, the two come together again and your GPS will follow the route correctly again.
rp 1 - Starting point in Zutphen at the IJsselpaviljoen
rp 7 - Photo stop at Ehzerallee
rp 23 - Coffee / lunch stop at Bi'j de Watermölle in Haaksbergen
rp 56 - End point at Snackbar Tiemessen in Etten.

View route collection The ANWB ProMotor Tank Bag Tours of 2012
About this route collection
Ever since the early 90s of the last century, Promotor has been setting out the so-called Tank Bag Tours. You understand that the name still comes from the GPS-free era, when motorcyclists still searched their way on inland roads with a roadbook in the tank bag or router roll.

You have also seen the Tank Bag Tours of 2012 one by one, from now on also as a collection of 2012.

All routes in this collection have been checked and made the same for TomTom, Garmin and MyRoute-app Navigation by a RouteRpert MyRoute-app. The routes follow as much as possible the original route as it was made at the time.

In this collection you will immediately see a 3-day TTT in the Eifel where you stay in the town of Prum.

In this collection you visit the following countries and provinces:

 Germany, Rhineland Palatinate, North Rhine Westphalia
 Belgium, Belgian Limburg, Liège, Wallonie
 Luxembourg
 Gelderland
 Overijssel
 North Brabant
 Limburg
 North Holland
 Drenthe
 Groningen
 Friesland
