Red House on the Hill
Day 9 we drive more than 280 km through the Eifel, where we drive a part along the Rhine. Beautiful roads with many beautiful (hairpin) curves through a beautiful and varied environment, you drive through meadows, forests and hills. We drive along the Rhine where we will see the Loreley on the left.

After a good breakfast we leave for Kobern-Gondorf, where we are immediately treated to a very beautiful part through the Eifel with beautiful roads through a rolling meadow landscape. We drive a little along the Moselle with a beautiful view of the river and the slopes with vines.

At Löf we take the bridge over the Moselle in the direction of Boppard on the Rein, at Boppard we drive along the Rein to Oberwesel, passing the Loreley (RP12) on the left at Sankt Goar.

From Oberwesel we head west again to Treis-Karden where we take the bridge over the Moselle and drive along a nice winding road to Cochem. Note that with RP15 the routes on Garmin and TomTom are not the same, follow the road as indicated on your device.

We stop for lunch in Cochem (RP19). Follow the signs to the parking places, for motorbikes these are free. There are several restaurants in the center and along the banks.

After lunch we drive along the banks of the Moselle to Alf where we turn right and return the last 60 km through the Eifel to our B&B Red House on the Hill.

Because of the beautiful roads with beautiful curves and the historic villages, this route is worth 5 stars. Also enjoy Cochem, it is a beautiful town.
