RouteXpert Review
A very nice round trip leaving from McDonald's and soon heading into the beautiful Berkshire countryside to have lunch at The Greyhound Pub. It will take about 2 hours to arrive at the quintessentially English country pub. There is plenty of parking and they have tables and chairs in the garden. Further information about the pub and it's menu can be found in the link below. The return journey takes you through pine forests and twisty roads as you head out of the South Downs National Park and onto Frensham Great Pond. Frensham Great Pond is a delight, one of two ponds, built in the Middle Ages to provide fish for the Bishop of Winchester’s estate. More twisty roads and avoiding most of the larger roads and you'll will arrive back to Newbury in 2 hours. This is a great route for a group of mates to go and have lunch at a great pub.
