The roads in Malaysia are generally in good condition, but beware; there are also parts where the asphalt is poor and there can be potholes in the road surface. This can be dangerous, so caution is advised. During the rainy season (September-December) the roads can be slippery. Traffic in Malaysia drives on the left side of the road.
You can rent a motorcycle in Malaysia, they are usually lighter models and often scooters. You can spend the night in hotels, B & Bs or campsites, which can easily be booked via the website in the review or via booking.com.
I rate this route with 5 ***** stars because of the beautiful roads, the beautiful nature, sights and activities that you can undertake.

Near the Chemerong Waterfall
The last day of this beautiful four-day tour in Malaysia starts at the Petronas petrol station in Kuala Terengganu. Here we can fill the tanks before departure for a nice ride of more than 250 kilometers.
Today we will not make longer stops at sights, this day consists of driving beautiful roads, enjoying nature and a few stops at waterfalls. A hike has also been scheduled.
We leave the city southwards and from Kampung Bukit Kolam take the Jalan (= road) Jabor - Al Muktafi Billah Shah (road number 14), this road is enjoying a beautiful winding road with a beautiful view of the green forests and mountains. Along the route there are several options for a short stop for a photo or a break at one of the many small cafes or restaurants.
In Kampung Tok Dor (RP12) we stop for a cup of coffee or other snack before we turn right on the winding narrow road to the Airterjun (= waterfall) Tok Dor (RP13). The road is not included in the route because it is not visible on the TomTom and HERE maps.
The lunch stop is planned in Felda Jerangau (RP15), a nice town with a wide choice of restaurants and cafes to enjoy a nice meal.
Just after Kampung Dendang Bahara we leave the Jalan Jabor - Al Muktafi Billah Shah and take the T125 that follows the course of the river Dungun to visit the Airterjun (= waterfall) Chemerong. From the T125 you can already observe the waterfall in the distance.
Reaching the Airterjun Cemerong is quite an expedition due to its remoteness and lack of signage, but the road is easy to drive. From the parking lot it is a walk of about 1500 meters, which is well worth it.
After the visit to the waterfall it is more than 130 kilometers we drive to the end point in Kuantan. But this is a beautiful road where we again drive a large part on the Jalan Jabor - Al Muktafi Billah Shah.
The end point of the ride is McDonalds in Kuantan.
