The municipality of Westerwolde has 21 villages: Agodorp *, Barnflair, Bellingwolde, Blijham, Bourtange, Jipsingboertange, Klein-Ulsda, Moorden *, Oudeschans, Over de Dijk, Rhederbrug, Sellingen, Ter Apel, Ter Apelkanaal, Veelerveen, Vlagtwedde, Vriescheloo, Wedde , Wedderheide, Wedderveer & Zandberg (partly).

Is the route going through all these villages?

* Agodorp is a neighborhood in Ter Apel in the municipality of Westerwolde in the province of Groningen. It was built in 1915 in the form of a garden village. The district is just south of Ter Apel and was built for the employees of AGO, Company for drying, finishing and processing wood. (Source: Wikipedia).
** Morige is a neighborhood in the Groningen municipality of Westerwolde. It lies just south of Blijham on the old road from Blijham to Wedde. Morige has more than 450 inhabitants. Morige lies on the sand ridge in the north of Westerwolde, which forms a horseshoe shape around the Westerwoldse Aa. (Source: Wikipedia).

Because I have not driven this route (yet) myself, this route gets 3 stars.

Route details:
There are lunch possibilities along the way, but bring something tasty and stopping on the way to lunch and enjoy the panoramic view is also an option.

As of November 2019, Drenthe had a population of 493,449 and a total area of 2,680 km2 (1,030 sq mi). Drenthe has been populated for 15.000 years. The region has subsequently been part of the Episcopal principality of Utrecht, Habsburg Netherlands, Dutch Republic, Batavian Republic, Kingdom of Holland and Kingdom of the Netherlands. Drenthe has been an official province since 1796. The capital and seat of the provincial government is Assen. The King's Commissioner of Drenthe is Jetta Klijnsma. The Labour Party (PvdA) is the largest party in the States-Provincial, followed by the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) and the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA). Drenthe is a sparsely populated rural area, unlike many other parts of the Netherlands. Except for the cities of Assen (pop. 67,963) and Emmen (pop. 107,113), the land in Drenthe is mainly used for agriculture.

About this route collection
Ever since the early 90s of the last century, Promotor has been setting out the so-called Tank Bag Tours. You understand that the name still comes from the GPS-free era, when motorcyclists still searched their way on roads with a roadbook in the tank bag or router roll.

You have also seen the Tank Bag Tours of 2000 one by one, from now on also as a collection of 2000.

All routes in this collection have been checked and made equal for TomTom, Garmin and MyRoute-app Navigation by a RouteRpert MyRoute-app. The routes follow as much as possible the original route as it was made at the time.

In this collection you visit the following provinces:
• Gelderland
• North Brabant
• Drenthe
• Groningen
• South-Holland
• Utrecht
• Overijssel
• Gelderland
• North Rhine Westphalia (Germany)
• North Holland
• Limburg
• Limburg (Belgium)
