What a beautiful view.
You drive towards Haarle and pass through a beautiful area a stone's throw from Hellendoorn, the Eelerberg. This is a hill whose top is located at an altitude of 40 meters northwest of Hellendoorn and east of Luttenberg. The hill is located in the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park. The Eelerberg is managed by Staatsbosbeheer.
As you drive along, you feel the stress and worries of everyday life melt away. You drive around Den Ham in a beautiful bend towards Beerze. Beerze is a hamlet in the municipality of Ommen, located approximately 20 kilometers north of Almelo. The hamlet has 195 inhabitants and is very characteristic because of its hall house farms.
Then it's time to have a cup of coffee. There is an option to do this at the Hungry Wolf. You can exchange stories and experiences there while enjoying steaming cups of coffee and local delicacies.
Right next to the Hungry Wolf there is also a gas station to provide your motorcycle with a drink.
After the refreshing break, you will set sail for Hardenberg, a city famous for its hospitable atmosphere and friendly residents. Along the way you will be treated to a varied landscape, from vast fields to dense forests and picturesque villages.
One of those villages is Slagharen, where the route passes the famous Slagharen pony park.
Slagharen Amusement & Holiday Park is a park in Slagharen in the Dutch province of Overijssel. The park has existed since 1963 and was originally called Shetland Pony Park Slagharen.
After Slagharen the route goes via Zuidwolde towards Echten. For enthusiasts there is also an old bicycle museum by Jan de Bruin. Start talking about old bicycles and the eyes of Jan de Bruin from Echten start to twinkle. And De Bruin himself starts talking about steel horses, well then you can press a hand, backpedal or any other brake, nothing works.
De Bruin owns a small bicycle museum in a monumental shed next to his house in Echten. And talks about it with great enthusiasm.
One of the next places you pass is Ruinen, where there is also a beautiful museum farm, Pasmans Huus.
The furnishings of the farm give an idea of domestic life around 1900, with, among other things, box beds, an open fireplace and two fully stocked cabinets in the kitchen. A beautiful collection of ear iron hats can be seen in the upstairs room. Old agricultural implements can be viewed in the back of the house.
Then it's time to take care of the inner man and have lunch. On the edge of Uffelte there is a nice roadside restaurant where the bouncers are excellent. A nice location to refuel.
After lunch you continue the route towards Diever, where you pass the Oer museum. The Oer Museum not only offers an exhibition with prehistory from the last Ice Age to the Bronze and Iron Ages as its subject. In addition to the collection of archaeological finds and dioramas in the Schultehuus, they also organize all kinds of outdoor activities to make prehistoric times tangible and to recognize traces in the landscape. You then arrive at the point of starting the return journey of the route in the direction of Havelte. A beautiful environment where you feel the freedom of the open roads with its beautiful winding bends and the wind in your face, with the smell of flowers in the air. The feeling of ultimate freedom.
In Havelte there is still an opportunity to have a cup of coffee or an ice cream at the Rimini ice cream parlor.
After coffee you can continue the route towards Ommen and Lemele. It is recommended to stop on the Lemele mountain and enjoy the breathtaking view.
After the beautiful view you can prepare for the last part of the route. You drive towards Luttenberg where you pass an agricultural museum Laarmans museum. De Laarman shows which tools the cattle rancher and farmer used in the middle of the last century to care for the cattle and work the land.
They also look to the present and the future. Where is the source of our food? How is it processed into food? What's on our plate? We tell this story in the new theme 'From plate to farmer'.
After the museum, turn right onto the Heuvelweg to enjoy the beautiful view from the Luttenberg.
Then, when you arrive in the town of Mariënheem, pay attention when crossing the N35, a very busy road. From here you meander along the beautiful back roads back to Nieuw-Heeten. Where you can look back on a beautiful tour.
The next Noaber tour is already being planned. Obviously in a different direction.

The 10 most beautiful car and motorcycle routes in the Netherlands
These 10 routes in the Netherlands have been carefully selected, checked and made equal for TomTom, Garmin and MyRoute-app Navigation by a MyRoute-app RouteXpert. The 10 most beautiful motorcycle and car routes in the Netherlands are always a snapshot, and a personal opinion of the reviewer. This does not alter the fact that every lover of beautiful roads and interesting sights will enjoy these routes.
The ten routes are spread over 10 provinces, we only skipped Flevoland and South Holland. Interesting routes can also be found in the MyRoute app RouteXpert library, but we still want to stick to the 10 most beautiful and not the 12 most beautiful.
Enjoy the many fortresses and castles that are included in the routes, such as Fort Veldhuis in North Holland. But also take a look at the route southeast of Nijmegen and visit the impressive Canadian War Cemetery and Memorial. The route 'Overijssel in bird's eye view' includes the oldest house in the Netherlands and the route along the IJssel is probably the most beautiful piece of asphalt in the Netherlands.
This way there is something for everyone in this route collection. If you do not agree with these 10 routes, please send us an e-mail, indicate which route(s) should be removed and which route you would like to see instead. Maybe your route will be included in this collection of the 10 most beautiful routes in the Netherlands!
