NL Ochten Heesselt Beesd Ochten De Motorrijder Vergeten Wegen Januari 2019
Weidse Hollandse landschappen in de Betuwe
The route is made by Henry van Uden, especially for the FB-Groep "De Motorrijder"
Henry has visited the most beautiful small roads and Forgotten Roads in the beautiful Betuwe, and made a wonderful winding route.
He knows the area, because he has been living there for years and looking at the route with Google Streetview I see everything I love:
Route starts at a clear collection point, where you can eat at the Golden Arches and refuel your motorcycle. The ride is about 3.5 hours and 130 km long, and there is also sufficient opportunity to boost the inner man.
The Betuwe is a beautiful environment to drive around in all seasons, but especially in April / May when the fruit trees are in blossom, it is unsurpassed.
On the way there are so many nice points to stop for a photo and drink a sip, but in particular I want to point out RP43, where you pass a mill in the Orange-town of Buren. Maybe you remember that King Willem Alexander rode the Elfstedentocht as WA van Buren? That is because of the link with this picturesque town.
The mill was built in 1716 and is even called "The Prince of Orange".

Henry thanks for sharing this beautiful ride, with this he is also included in the MRA RouteXpert library. We look forward to your next contribution!

Engine greeting,
Serge
