TTT 2013 01 Kijkduin Den Hoorn een rondje Westland

Route Summary
Ever since the early 90s of the last century, Promotor has been setting out the so-called Tank Bag Tours. You understand that the name still comes from the GPS-free era, when motorcyclists still searched their way on inland roads with a roadbook in the tank bag or router roll.

The 173 ANWB Promoter TankTasTocht (TTT) were scanned by Henry ten Dam and signed by Leon Stolk in Mapsource and later placed as a Track in a .gpx file. These are made available through the MrGPS website with the approval of the ANWB Promoter so that everyone can enjoy them. The 1st TTT is from 1992, so the route may differ slightly from the original.

I have checked all route points and, where necessary, placed them neatly on the road. I have also, if necessary, set the starting point and end point of the route a little further apart to prevent navigation to the end point directly and added the POI files of the starting point and end point just like a possible stopping point.

Finally, I made the route the same for TomTom, Garmin and MyRoute-app Navigation users.

Thanks to Henry, Leon, MrGPS and Promoter.

RouteXpert Review
This TTT starts in Kijkduin and goes partly over beautiful roads, but mainly also through the more densely populated area of the Westland *
* The Westland is originally a region in the province of South Holland. This concerns the area north of the Nieuwe Waterweg, south of The Hague, east of Hoek van Holland, and west of Delft. The name 'Westland' is derived from the western crafts of the Delfland Water Board. In addition to the current greenhouse horticulture area, these western crafts also include Rijswijk, Voorburg and Vlaardingerambacht. Since January 1, 2004, Westland is also the name of a large municipality in this area. Furthermore, the region has the municipality of Midden-Delfland and the center of Hoek van Holland, which is part of the municipality of Rotterdam. Loosduinen, a district of The Hague, is a former Westland horticultural village that, like Wateringse Veld, has been annexed by the city of The Hague. Westland is best known for its greenhouse horticulture and the orange glow that illuminates the sky at night, from the assimilation lighting in the greenhouses.
The region also owes its nickname the Glass City to these glass department stores. (Source: Wikipedia).

So you will regularly encounter the greenhouses of greenhouse horticulture in this TTT.

Because I have not (yet) driven this route myself, this route gets 3 stars.
