RouteXpert Review
The motorcyclists on the Flemish Coast are always happy with a ride from the Doeverentreffen. There are not many possibilities on our coast, you can not drive in the sea. This annual meeting with a short and long drive along the quiet Flemish and "French-Flemish" roads, towards Northern France, is always a great success. This is the long route of 2013, 288 km long. Mainly quiet roads, in France some more buildings and villages in between. This route thus got 3 and half stars. Link of the short route below. Through the sad history you will of course encounter many "Monuments des Morts" on these roads ...
RP 37 The Ijzertoren http://www.museumaandijzer.be/ijzertoren/ worth a visit.
Tip: on the other side of the Ijzertoren, across the water, is a good stopping point. Restaurant Sint-Jan (also for a small snack), parking at the door, pleasant terrace and good food (see POI).
