Route Summary
Imagine the engine roaring beneath you, the smell of fresh pine forests in your nose, and a road stretching out before you full of bends that scream to be ridden. This motorcycle route takes you through the beautiful landscapes of Luxembourg, Rhineland-Palatinate and the Sud Eifel. From tight hairpin bends that challenge your riding skills to long, flowing handlebar bends that invite you to open the throttle. This is a route for those who love real driving dynamics and breathtaking views.
Not only is the road spectacular, the sights are impressive too. From old castles like Burg Schönecken and Bertrada Burg to historical sites like the Densborner Wassermühle. Every stop tells a story, and when you get off for a break, it feels like you’ve stepped back in time. And if that’s not enough, you can visit the world-famous Bitburg Brewery and enjoy a cold beer, well, non-alcoholic of course.
This route is one of the day trips of a motorcycle holiday in Luxembourg

Valuation:
Because of the great roads and bends for motorcyclists in this route I rate it with 5 stars.

RouteXpert Review
Motorcycling through Luxembourg and the Eifel: An adventurous route with history and bends

Your journey begins in Hösingen, a picturesque Luxembourgish village surrounded by rolling hills and forests. From here you are immediately treated to a number of delightful bends that take you to the German town of Bleialf. This tranquil town lies on the border of the Sud Eifel and is known for its mining history, which is still palpable in the area.
The road continues towards Schönecken, where you can make a short stop at Burg Schönecken. This castle, perched on a rock, offers an amazing view of the valley below. A perfect place to take a break and take a few photos. The winding road that follows takes you to Mürlenbach, where the impressive Bertrada Burg awaits you. This medieval castle looks like it came straight out of a fairy tale, and you immediately feel transported to another time.

From Mürlenbach you continue to Meisburg. Here the landscape changes and the road looks like a playground for motorcyclists: endless handlebar bends and a strip of asphalt that keeps challenging you. Nearby is the Densborner Wassermühle, a historic water mill that is still in use. Stopping here for a cup of coffee is certainly not a punishment.
After Meisburg you will end up in the bustling Bitburg, famous for its beer brewery. Here you can take a tour of the Bitburg Brewery and of course taste a refreshing beer. With your helmet aside and a glass of beer in your hand, you will feel the ultimate pleasure of freedom and adventure. But unfortunately you are on a motorcycle so alcohol-free is a wiser choice. If you do the tour at Bitburg, keep in mind that it lasts 60 minutes and costs € 9.00. 2 drinks for free.
The road then leads you to Bettingen, where you pass the Bergruine Bettingen. Surrounded by greenery and mystery, the ruins offer an atmospheric stopover on the way to your next destination: Keppeshausen. This remote village is like a hidden gem and the road to it is simply fantastic, with hairpin bends that keep you on your toes and views that take your breath away.

Finally, you will drive towards Hoscheid, after which the route comes to an end. But before you turn off the engine, there is one last sight that you should not miss: the Burg Stolzenberg. This castle is located high on a hill and offers a fantastic view over the valley, a perfect end to an epic motorcycle ride.
What makes this route so special is the perfect mix of riding pleasure and culture. The road itself is a dream for any motorcyclist: challenging, flowing and with views that will make you pause for a moment. But it’s the stops along the way that make it special. Castles, ruins, watermills and a beer brewery—it almost feels like riding through a living history book.
Whether you are a seasoned rider who enjoys technical corners or someone who simply wants to enjoy a beautiful ride through a picturesque landscape, this route has something for everyone. You will be amazed at how diverse this area is, from the rugged beauty of the Sud Eifel to the quiet charm of Luxembourg.
Make sure you bring your camera, because this ride is filled with moments you’ll want to capture. But most importantly? Enjoy. Enjoy the freedom, the wind in your face, and the knowledge that this is one of those motorcycle rides you’ll never forget.

The route includes a number of places for a drink and a bite to eat for yourself and your motorbike, are you obliged to stop here? No, of course you can also determine your own stops.
You end the route at the reception and enjoy a snack and a drink while you reflect on today's route.

About this region
Rhineland-Palatinate (German: Rheinland-Pfalz, [ˈʁaɪ̯nlant ˈp͡falt͡s] (listen)) is a western state of Germany. It covers 19,846 km2 (7,663 sq mi) and has about 4.05 million residents. It is the ninth largest and sixth most populous of the sixteen states. Mainz is the capital and largest city. Other cities are Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Koblenz, Trier, Kaiserslautern and Worms. It is bordered by North Rhine-Westphalia, Saarland, Baden-Württemberg and Hesse and by the countries France, Luxembourg and Belgium.
Rhineland-Palatinate was established in 1946 after World War II, from parts of the former states of Prussia (part of its Rhineland province), Hesse and Bavaria (its former outlying Palatinate kreis or district), by the French military administration in Allied-occupied Germany. Rhineland-Palatinate became part of the Federal Republic of Germany in 1949 and shared the country's only border with the Saar Protectorate until the latter was returned to German control in 1957. Rhineland-Palatinate's natural and cultural heritage includes the extensive Palatinate winegrowing region, picturesque landscapes, and many castles and palaces.

Top 5 Car and Motorcycle Routes in the Eifel
The Eifel is the eastern part of the medium plateau Eifel-Ardennes. It is located north of the Moselle and west of the Rhine. The largest part is in Germany, a small part is in Belgium, in the East Cantons. The German part of Eifel is located in the federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate. The highest point is the Hohe Acht with 747 meters.

Several chains can be distinguished in the Eifel:
 The northernmost part is called the Nordeifel, which in Belgium connects to the High Fens;
 To the east of this is the Ahrgebirge, this part is located north of the Ahr in the Ahrweiler district;
 South of the Ahr is the Hohe Eifel (or Hocheifel), of which the Hohe Acht (747 m) is the highest point, and also the highest point in the entire Eifel region;
 To the west, near the Belgian border, the hills are known as Schneifel, part of the wider Snow Eifel area with peaks reaching up to 698 metres;
 South and east of the Hohe Eifel is the Volcano-Eifel, a volcanic area with many crater lakes (Maare).
 The southern part of the Eifel is less high. The area is bisected by streams and rivers running southwards. These streams flow into the Moselle. The largest of these rivers is the Kyll; the hills around this river are known as the Kyllwald;
 In the south, the Eifel ends in the Voreifel.

In the north of the Eifel there are some large reservoirs. The largest of these is the reservoir in the Roer that was created by the construction of the Roerdal dam.

The Nürburgring is also located in the Eifel, a well-known car circuit for Formula 1 races, among other things. Since 2004, part of the north of the Eifel has become the Eifel National Park. This National Park falls entirely within the German-Belgian nature park High Fens-Eifel. Another part of the Eifel falls within the South Eifel Nature Park.
