She offers you a nice first introduction to the Hautes Pyrenees; let you enjoy wonderful views; and yet she is not too tiring.
A really nice ride on nice, good roads that leaves you enough space to quickly dive back into the pool and garden of Pyrenees Passions.

Hautes Pyrenees
The ride starts at Pyrenees Passions and glides along lovely rolling roads to the picturesque village of Aspet where a very nice local market is held on Saturdays. After a small refueling (careful, petrol can be a bit more expensive here…) we test the Col de Buret very relaxed. Not really spectacular, but shortly afterwards the playground of the higher Pyrenees opens. The cornering is already a bit more intense and the environment more and more beautiful.
This ride is mainly about absorbing the environment. Enjoy with the big 'G' of the higher Pyrenees that keep looming in the distance and seem to be calling you for a part of your rubber. Don't worry, that time is definitely coming, but first we're going to enjoy the elongated foreplay a bit more….
As you approach through the valley of the Pique Bagneres-de-Luchon, the call of the Hautes Pyrenees grows louder; the vistas become more and more beautiful while the roads only go up slowly as if to say… not yet, just a little while, not yet….
Bagneres-de-Luchon; Nicknamed the 'Queen of the Pyrenees' (What's in a name?) is a small spa and ski town with just over 2000 inhabitants. There are some nice historic buildings to visit, but it won't make you wild.
What will undoubtedly play on your mind is the gradient of the road after passing Bagneres-de-Luchon. From here it climbs steeply 1000 meters and you go from the Haute-Garonne Département straight to the Hautes Pyrenees at the Col de Peyresourde. There we strongly recommend the Creperie du Col de Peyresourde…. Delicious pancakes; just down the road. Super-friendly (and beautiful!) service; so worth a stop!
After stuffing our stomachs we can start on the better cornering; it may be a short, but fun ride towards the Col d'Azet, where the splendor of the Pyrenees will surely captivate your eyes. The road surface is excellent and here too enjoy remains the most important verb.
After the Col d'Azet we descend back to 'normal' altitudes and leave the high mountains northwards. We drive in the direction of Heches and just before that we turn to the right where we briefly touch the smaller roads back. We still touch some tops, but these, like the roads, are significantly smaller in size.
Very nice is the passage at the height of the Cathédrale de Sainte Marie in the village of Bertrand de Comminges, one of the most beautiful villages in France. You can't miss it as you approach the site. Just before you drive to the right to drive the loop around the cathedral, there is a nice place to take a break. A sun, sufficient parking space and a few tables with chairs, a motard doesn't need a lot to feel like a king…..
The further way back to Pyrenees Passions is a piece of cake. You pass the Garonne and the Ger for a short while before you arrive back relaxed at the Pyrenees Passions where the lovely garden and the swimming pool are happy to welcome you back, not to mention the richly filled refrigerator with nice chilled wines…..

Occitanie
About this region
Occitanie (French pronunciation: [ɔksitani] (listen); Occitan: Occitània [utsiˈtanjɔ]; Catalan: Occitània [uksiˈtaniə]), Occitany or Occitania (), is the southernmost administrative region of metropolitan France excluding Corsica, created on 1 January 2016 from the former regions of Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrénées. The Council of State approved Occitanie as the new name of the region on 28 September 2016, coming into effect on 30 September 2016.The modern administrative region is named after the larger cultural and historical region of Occitania, which corresponds with the southern third of France. The region Occitanie as it is today covers a territory similar to that ruled by the Counts of Toulouse in the 12th and 13th centuries. The banner of arms of the Counts of Toulouse, known colloquially as the Occitan cross, is used by the modern region and is also a popular cultural symbol. In 2015, Occitanie had a population of 5,839,867.

25 Magnificent trails in France
This MRA route collection contains 25 beautiful motorcycle routes in different parts of France, such as the Ardennes, the Alsace, Vercors, the Drôme, the Ardèche, Cote d'Azure, Gorges du Verdon, the Ariège, the Dordogne and Brittany.
The routes have been carefully created by Bert Loorbach, who is an enthusiastic motorcyclist himself. He lived in France for a year and a half, during which time he devoted himself to mapping the unknown and beautiful back roads of France especially for motorcyclists.
The routes are bundled in the Motortourgids France part 1 of Kosmos publishing house and now also available in MyRouteApp.
I have taken over the routes in MRA and sometimes adjusted them slightly to make them even more interesting for the motorcyclist.

24 Magnificent trails in France
It is clear that France is one of the most beautiful and best touring countries. It offers an incredibly varied landscape with good roads and a pleasant climate. It is not for nothing that you see so many motorcyclists there. My previous collection of 25 routes in France (25 Magnificent routes in France) were based on the route descriptions from the Motortourgids France part 1 made by Bert Loorbach.
This collection of 24 routes comes from Motortourgids France part 2. In this collection, a difference has been made between approach routes and motorcycle tours in a certain area. The approach routes can also be used in combination with the routes from Motortourgids France part 1
The routes are sometimes slightly adjusted based on the tips that Bert Loorbach gives in his description, or because of another place to spend the night, or to reach the minimum length of 2 hours for the MRA Library. For each route, the review contains a more detailed description, including options to stay overnight or places of interest along the way, which are also indicated with a POI and if possible with a short description.
Two or more routes have been created for a number of areas, such as for Burgundy, Auvergne, The Alps, Tarn and Cévennes and Nord-Pas de Calais. These routes can be nicely combined in a multi-day trip.
