Hartland Quay
Devon is a farming county and although I have avoided using the really narrow lanes, be aware that some roads may be muddy from tractors, the beautiful scenery along the way will soon makes up for it.
I have suggested two stops, the first at the really trendy motorcycle cafe called Union Road Moto-Velo in Crediton, they also have great accommodation available and a link is included below this review. The second is at the breathtakingly beautiful Hartland Quay. With it's rugged coast and tales of smuggling, Hartland Quay is a must visit. There is a pub there called The Wreckers Retreat which serves coffee and food while you take in the views. The route returns to Bideford on the A39 (Atlantic Highway) often quoted as one of the best biking roads in the UK.
