You start the engine and take a deep breath. The fresh morning air fills your lungs as you drive the first meters through Nieuw-Heeten. Today will be a day of winding roads, natural beauty and special places. The sun is still low, it promises to be a beautiful ride.

About the Sallandse Heuvelrug
You drive towards the Sallandse Heuvelrug, where the road winds gracefully through the landscape. The scent of pine trees and heathlands mixes with the fresh morning dew. You feel the engine moving smoothly beneath you, while you enjoy the quiet undulating landscape. Here and there a cyclist, another motorcyclist who greets – a shared moment of freedom.

On to the Grote Veld near Laren
After the hills of Salland you turn towards Laren, a small but charming village. The route takes you along the Grote Veld, a beautiful nature reserve where you stop for a while. You stretch your legs, listen to the rustling of the trees and feel the silence of nature around you. Then you climb back into the saddle, ready for the next part of the ride.

Via quiet back roads you drive to Almen and Harfsen. Here you can tour wonderfully without much traffic, only the sound of your engine and the singing of birds that accompany you. The meadows stretch out on both sides of the road and you feel completely in the moment.

Just before Bathmen, keep left and drive towards Lettele. Time for a well-deserved break at Bras Koer, a cozy place where you can relax with a cup of coffee or a good lunch. You can choose a table outside, park your motorcycle in sight and enjoy the moment. Maybe a sandwich with a strong cup of coffee? You look around and see other motorcyclists, cyclists and hikers. Everyone enjoys this beautiful region in their own way.

After the break, you put your helmet back on and start the engine. On to the next stop: the V1 launch installation. This historical point takes you back in time. You park and get off to take a picture. It is impressive to realize what happened here in the Second World War. A moment of reflection, before you continue the ride.

Then it's time for a highlight for every motorcycle enthusiast: the motorcycle museum in Okkenbroek. A small but special museum where you can admire unique classic motorcycles. You walk between the old models, admire the details and talk to the owner, who passionately tells you about the history of the machines. An inspiring stop, and perhaps a nice place to come back to next time with a group of friends.

After the motorcycle museum it is time to drive back to Nieuw-Heeten. The last kilometers feel like a summary of the entire ride: freedom, nature and the fun of the road. You drive back into the village, park the bike and take off your helmet. A deep sigh, a broad smile. This was a tour not to forget quickly.
