This Slingeroute is a varied ride full of Achterhoek charm, winding roads and beautiful views. The route alternates rural tranquility with cultural history and natural pearls such as the Wooldse Veen. Along the way you will discover cozy villages, castles and surprising catering, ideal for a day of enjoyment on the motorcycle, and worth 3 stars.

RouteXpert Review You start at Grand Café het Schaftlokaal in Ulft, a cozy spot on the DRU Industriepark. You quickly head via Silvolde and Sinderen towards Varsseveld, where mills and monuments are reminiscent of the rich history. Then you meander past Halle and the beautiful Ruurlo, with Kasteel Ruurlo and Museum MORE as cultural highlights. The tour continues to Borculo, a city with medieval roots and the memory of the infamous tornado of 1925. Through Haarlo and Groenlo you ride through the wonderful countryside towards Meddo, where you can take a break at the motorcycle-friendly Motor Hotel Meddo or at the atmospheric Spiekerman. The route then takes you to the quiet Wooldse Veen, a unique raised bog area with duckboards and rare nature. Then you ride back to Voorst via country roads, where your day ends in style.
The Slingeroute is an ideal ride for motorcyclists who enjoy variety, bends and beautiful stops. Start at the cozy Schaftlokaal, end at Restaurant Engbergen, and take your time along the way for nature, history and gastronomy.
