Route Summary
Ever since the early 90s of the last century, ANWB / Promoter has been setting out the so-called TankTasTocht (TTT). You understand that the name still comes from the GPS-free era, when motorcyclists still searched their way on inland roads with a roadbook in the tank bag or router roll. This TTT are touring through the Netherlands with the occasional trip to Belgium, Germany or even Luxembourg, which are driven 6 to 7 times a year. The 1st around March and the last around October. These TTTs have a starting point, a pause location and an end point. It is nice to discover what you have not seen in your own country and which nice roads you did not know before.
This TTT is from 2017, so the route may differ slightly from the original.
I have checked all route points and, where necessary, placed them neatly on the road. Also, if necessary, I have further set the starting point and end point of the route a little further apart to prevent navigation to the end point directly and added the POI files of the start and end point, as well as possible pause location (s).
Finally, I made the route the same for TomTom, Garmin and MRA Navigation users.
Thanks to ANWB / Promoter.

RouteXpert Review
The 3rd Tank Bag Tour of 2017 has its starting point in West Brabant, and in Oud-Gastel. North Brabant, that is from east to west from sand to clay. From forest and drifting sand to sea inlets and tidal landscapes. The Biesbosch is there, the Baronie and Brabantse Wal. But it is also the birthplace of Van Gogh. But we are not going there. Did you know that Noord-Brabant is the epicenter of dance music, with Tiësto and Hardwell as the best-known representatives. You can nicely drive the route to the rhythm of this music, or, bend rhythm. Button that in your ears when you start from Oud-Gastel. Because you will ride bends.
The start in Oud-Gastel has only just fallen behind the horizon or you are already shaving along the Rosendaalsche Vliet. We follow the route to Dinteloord. If you do not know: here is the largest sugar factory in Europe. And they get all that sugar from sugar beet. And whoever has driven here during the sugar beet campaign never comes again. What a mess on the road. So beware, the sugar beet campaign is in September!
So soon we will be driving over the Volkerakdam to the South Holland Goeree-Overvlakke. On, because it was once an island. In Stellendam, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or lunch at the Haringvliet. And it's not over yet. There is more beautiful on the motorcycle menu.
You drive into the Zeeland Country over the Brouwersdam. That is vast, abandoned and above all flat. Apart from the dikes and wonder oh wonder: there are beautiful roads. After Renesse and Burgh-Haamstede, this Tank Bag Tour is almost over. The finish flag only finally falls in Colijnsplaat. That is on Noord-Beveland. (Source: Promotor 04-2017)
Because I have driven this route myself, this route gets 5 stars.

About this region
Zeeland is the westernmost and least populous province of the Netherlands. The province, located in the south-west of the country, borders North Brabant to the east, South Holland to the north, and the country of Belgium to the south and west. It consists of a number of islands and peninsulas (hence its name, meaning "Sealand") and a strip bordering the Flemish provinces of East and West Flanders. Its capital is Middelburg with a population of 48,544 as of November 2019, the largest municipality in Zeeland is Terneuzen (pop. 54,589). Zeeland has two seaports: Vlissingen and Terneuzen. Its area is 2,934 square kilometres (1,130 sq mi), of which 1,151 square kilometres (440 sq mi) is water, and it has a population of 383,689 as of November 2019.
Large parts of Zeeland are below sea level. The last great flooding of the area was in 1953. Tourism is an important economic activity. In the summer, its beaches make it a popular destination for tourists, especially German tourists. In some areas, the population can be two to four times higher during the high summer season. The coat of arms of Zeeland shows a lion half-emerged from water, and the text luctor et emergo (Latin for "I struggle and emerge"). The country of New Zealand was named after Zeeland after it was sighted by Dutch explorer Abel Tasman.

The 10 most beautiful car and motorcycle routes in the Netherlands
These 10 routes in the Netherlands have been carefully selected, checked and made equal for TomTom, Garmin and MyRoute-app Navigation by a MyRoute-app RouteXpert. The 10 most beautiful motorcycle and car routes in the Netherlands are always a snapshot, and a personal opinion of the reviewer. This does not alter the fact that every lover of beautiful roads and interesting sights will enjoy these routes.
The ten routes are spread over 10 provinces, we only skipped Flevoland and South Holland. Interesting routes can also be found in the MyRoute app RouteXpert library, but we still want to stick to the 10 most beautiful and not the 12 most beautiful.
Enjoy the many fortresses and castles that are included in the routes, such as Fort Veldhuis in North Holland. But also take a look at the route southeast of Nijmegen and visit the impressive Canadian War Cemetery and Memorial. The route 'Overijssel in bird's eye view' includes the oldest house in the Netherlands and the route along the IJssel is probably the most beautiful piece of asphalt in the Netherlands.
This way there is something for everyone in this route collection. If you do not agree with these 10 routes, please send us an e-mail, indicate which route(s) should be removed and which route you would like to see instead. Maybe your route will be included in this collection of the 10 most beautiful routes in the Netherlands!
