RouteXpert Review The route leads for the most part through Luxembourg, and a small part through Germany.
On the way we come across a 'mini-Stelvio': from Alscheid Down to Kautenbach. That means: bend after bend after bend after bend, exactly as you prefer. This is a road that makes you feel like you are in the Alps. Be careful, there are a few tricky curves, which surprisingly pinch. At the bottom you can choose to plan a coffee stop at Hotel Huberty in Kautenbach.
After about an hour's drive, we pass through Esch-sur-Sûre, commune of the Natural Park of the Upper-Sûre. Here you can wander around. This place is hidden between the mountains and is surrounded by the Sûre. One of the most beautiful villages in the country. Dominating this town with only 300 inhabitants is the more than one thousand year old castle ruin on a rock that rises perpendicular from the river. The castle was destroyed in 1795, but you can still visit the remains. In this village there are several occasions for coffee or lunch. After lunch it is still about 2 hours to send deliciously to the end point.
I have given this route 4 stars, because it is a very short route for me. This route is made for driving with a passenger. There are delicious pieces of steer. Hence this appreciation.
