RouteXpert Review
After a few minutes you will see the mountain "De Brocken" (1.141m) already lying. The highest mountain in the region. We see a lot of beautiful vistas interspersed with authentic villages with beautiful half-timbered houses. We drive further towards Wernigerode. Already in the distance we see the castle: Schloss Wernigrode lie, also we see the top of the Brocken lie. A bit later we enter the Naturpark Harz, the route regularly passes here and on the narrow gauge railway that goes up to the station on the Brocken. We have to wait for this steam train with authentic wagons, that's pretty face. End station of the train: the top of the Brocken, where we also stop for a cup of coffee with some goodies.
We continue via beautiful winding roads to arrive at "De Rappbodetalsperre". You can park your bike for a fee and if you walk up the hill, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Rappboderalsperre. You can also walk over the suspension bridge for a fee. We continue our journey and leave the Bodetal and along the river Bode in the direction of Stolberg via a beautiful winding road through a gorge. This is a forested area with lots of rockeries that protrude right up the road. We stop in Stolberg for lunch.
After lunch we get some goodies, namely many nice turning corners and good asphalt with beautiful views. After this curve series we arrive in Neustadt. Here you can see the remains of Burg ruin Hohnstein. We drive further get a nice route presented in the form some climbs (4) and many beautiful curves. After the 3rd climb, we are in Sankt Andreasberg, we stop for a cup of coffee the last time.
After the coffee, a nice piece to the hotel, where we park the motor in the garage of the hotel.
