Route Summary
As the name suggests, a tour through the Veen area of Drenthe. This is the 13th in a series of 43 Endangered ANWB routes. These have been published in the Promotors between April 2015 and September 2016.
My 13th review of a route that I did not make myself and did not drive (yet). I checked all route points and placed them neatly on the road. I have also set the starting point and end point of the route a bit further apart to avoid navigating directly to the end point.
Finally, I made the route the same for TomTom, Garmin and MyRoute-app Navigation users.

RouteXpert Review
The Veen / Moor route leads to a large part through Southeast Drenthe and also brings you into contact with the historic 'Grafschaft' Bentheim. You drive through old es- and green villages with their characteristic Saxon farms as well as former peat colonies with neighborhoods and canals that were dug to drain peat.
The German part of the route cuts through the beautiful valley of the Vechte. (Source: Promoter No. 10-2015).
Because I have not (yet) driven this route myself, I have rated this route with 3 stars!

About this region
Bremerhaven (German pronunciation: [ˌbʁeːmɐˈhaːfn̩] (listen), lit. 'Bremener Harbour', Low German: Bremerhoben) is a city at the seaport of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, a state of the Federal Republic of Germany.
It forms a semi-enclave in the state of Lower Saxony and is located at the mouth of the Weser on its eastern bank, opposite the town of Nordenham. Though a relatively new city, it has a long history as a trade port and today is one of the most important German ports, playing a role in Germany's trade.
Wesermünde was a neighboring city created in 1924 through the merger of Geestemünde and Lehe. In 1939, Bremerhaven was incorporated into Wesermünde, but in 1947 the cities were collectively renamed as Bremerhaven and returned to the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen.
