RouteXpert Review
This Circular Route is a route that will fascinate you because you can do it in a single day, you will have paths of all kinds, but we must be careful because there are very narrow paths and in summer times very crowded, it is a very quiet route to do it enjoying all its coves, turquoise beaches, and beautiful cliffs that will cultivate you and you will be left staring at these landscapes.

The island of Ibiza, a meeting point and exchange of various cultures; Punic, Phoenician, Roman, Byzantine, Visigoth, Muslim, Catalan…

Ibiza is also an icon for its privileged natural environment and for the ancient Posidonia meadows, included in the declaration of World Heritage, as they maintain the marine ecosystem and guarantee the conservation of the sand on the beaches and the crystal-clear transparency of the waters.

Due to its cultural and heritage assets, Ibiza is a legendary destination that also offers art, sport, gastronomy, shopping, a range of leisure activities for all audiences and a lively and cosmopolitan atmosphere that attracts travellers from all over the world.

Welcome to Ibiza, a journey that never ends, because the city reinvents itself and surprises you every time. Ibiza is your home, your dream, your paradise… the place you always want to return to.

We will leave from Ibiza airport, where you can rent motorbikes and cars if you wish. You can also take advantage of your stay in Ibiza and visit a nearby island, Formentera, which you can do in one day.

We head to Las Salinas.

The Salinas shine, south of Ibiza airport.

World Heritage and the island's main source of wealth until the arrival of tourism. It is from here that the acclaimed white gold is produced, which is exported to countries such as Denmark (Faroe Islands) or Portugal, and is one of the most sought-after souvenirs in Ibiza's souvenir shops.

These salt pools cover more than 400 hectares, constituting an important wetland for more than 200 species of birds and being a resting place for herons, black-winged stilts, plovers and flamingos during their migrations.

Its history dates back to the time of the Phoenicians, who built the first settlement on the island and gave life to these salt fields that give their name to the protected natural park since 2001. Later, Romans and Arabs continued to use them and improved their technology by means of canals, mills and floodgates.

Canar Beach.

Located on the east coast of the island, Es Cana has everything you could wish for on a holiday, whether relaxing or lively. The beach, a crescent of golden sand surrounded by pine trees, is the perfect place to relax with a cool drink at one of the beach bars or take a dip in the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean.

For those with a passion for water sports and adventure, there are plenty of daytime activities for everyone. The town is surrounded by beautiful, unspoilt beaches, which can be reached on foot, and the crystal-clear waters offer a wonderful underwater world for divers.

Punta Grossa Viewpoint and Lighthouse.

This viewpoint and lighthouse next to Cala Sant Vicent is an excellent and little-frequented viewpoint over the sea and the northern coast of Ibiza.

We will go to Sa Cala de Sant Vicent and arrive at the Punta Grossa lighthouse.

This is a disused and abandoned lighthouse located on the northeast coast of the island of Ibiza. It is located 55 meters above sea level, at the end of a path that can only be done on foot.

An extraordinary walk, especially for adults and those who do not suffer from vertigo. Stay just before the final stretch leading to the lighthouse and you will have a very nice view.

Cala D'en Serra.

Cala o Caló d'en Serra is a sandy and gravel beach, about 50 m long by 24 m wide, on the left bank of which you can see beautiful huts, a boathouse where fishermen store their fishing gear, which beautify —even more!— this wonderful stretch of coast.

The beach is surrounded by cliffs crowned by pine trees and bushes, and in the sea, some rocky outcrops seem to guard these beautiful seabeds of rock, sand and posidonia that you can enjoy with diving goggles. It is a place with a family atmosphere that in summer has a rental service for sunbeds and parasols and the presence of a beach bar where you can have cold drinks. It opens between Port de Portinatx and Punta del Gato, at the foot of the mountain or Puig desa Caperulla (308 m above sea level).

Sant Antoni de Portmany.

Las Puertas Del Cielo is the name of the restaurant where we recommend you stop to enjoy a good meal and unique views.

Anyone who visits this hypnotic enclave will come back without thinking twice. If you're wondering why you haven't been there yet, you'll fall head over heels as soon as you set foot in this place. Its landscape is spectacular. From the huge windows of the establishment you can contemplate the immensity of the Mediterranean. A deep blue sea dotted with various islets and surrounded by green pine forests and beautiful cliffs.

Las Puertas del Cielo will become one of your favourite hideaways in Ibiza. An intimate and cosy space where you will feel at home. In winter you can enjoy the warmth of its fireplace and in summer, from June 15 to September 5, you will contemplate one of the most beautiful sunsets on the island.

Cala Conta Beach.

Cala Conta needs no introduction. For those who have not yet enjoyed its crystal-clear waters, prepare to be treated to the ultimate indulgence. It has fabulous views over some of the islets that dot the coast of Ibiza, beautiful turquoise waters and several different areas to explore. It is without a doubt one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.

There are two small stretches of sand, one protected by the rocky shore and the other by sand dunes. The shallow waters are safe for the little ones and are clear like a swimming pool. When swimming in the sea, you have to be careful, as there are very strong currents here, so reaching the islet in front of the beach can be quite a challenge, even for skilled swimmers.

In the high season, the beach is very popular, so go early in the morning or late in the afternoon. The sand takes up little space, but the water is so inviting that you'll spend most of your time just soaking in it. There are rocky parts on the seabed that make Cala Conta an interesting place for snorkelling.

Cala Conta is also one of the best beaches to watch the sunset, filling up with people who gather on land or aboard yachts at sea to admire this relaxing spectacle.

Vadella Cove.

Cala Vadella is a beautiful beach with turquoise waters flanked by rocky walls that protect bathers from the wind and waves.

Cala Vadella is surrounded by a beautiful natural environment and the buildings that surround it have been designed to blend into the environment without impoverishing it.

This is the ideal beach for those looking for a pleasant and easily accessible environment without having to do without the necessary services. The disadvantage is that, as it is a very popular beach, it is usually quite crowded.

Cala d'Hort.

This is a small and charming beach from which you can enjoy the views of the mysterious islet of Es Vedrà, which rises just a few hundred metres from the shore. The beach has fine sand at one end and is more rocky at the other, and is very popular in summer. Many people flock to this absolutely paradisiacal natural environment: residents, young and old, families and tourist couples, everyone can be seen in Cala d'Hort.

Protected by a cliff, it is situated at the bottom of a steep slope where the main access road ends. In the busiest months, the road can become a single lane road due to cars parked on the hard shoulder, so you have to get up early to avoid walking uphill to get back to your car after a hard day sunbathing!

This is a very nice beach for surfing on windy days, as the rougher waves hit the shore with force. There is also a small boutique that opens during the high season and sells designer beachwear. Cala d'Hort beach is completely smoke-free, in an attempt to keep the sand pristine for all who visit.

It's cubells, Bargrill Llumbi.

It is the ideal place to have a drink on the terrace, relax and enjoy the view.

They have tapas and delicious dishes, but in the afternoon you can enjoy a drink while looking at the sea. And this is where we say goodbye to this beautiful route through Ibiza, which seems short but intense, and thinking that from the port we can take a boat with the motorbikes and spend a day on the island of Formentera and be able to return at the last minute, we already know that it will be another beautiful route.
