Vennen rond Mierlo
We start at the McDonalds in Geldrop, partly because it is open early and there is sufficient parking available.
The ride is a total of 125 km long and that's nice if you also want to take time for lunch.
The ride runs through a very beautiful part of the Netherlands and Belgium known as the Kempen. Known for its forests and fens.
In this trip we also pay a visit to our southern neighbors. We pass a monastery under Bergeijck on the Belgian side. The monastery is called the Achelse Kluis.
The restaurant called De Hofkaemer is known in the region because it serves the most delicious dishes made exclusively with regional dishes. For the restaurant, a large market square has sufficient parking spaces.
After lunch you still have a last 45 kilometers before we arrive at our destination.
This last piece by a more urban area and therefore a bit less interesting. Particularly during this last part of the trip I get a 3 1/2 star rating
The final location is again a McDonalds because it is easy with a group. This McDonalds is also located on a main highway so that everyone can return home smoothly.
The McDonalds in Best is designed as an American diner from the 1950s.
The police also make frequent use of this fast-food restaurant, partly because of its location on the exit roads.
