RouteXpert Review
We start from Hoofddorp, nice and early, because it is a long drive. We drive towards Alphen a / d Rijn, and then through Koudekerk. I like to drive nationwide and choose the Lage waard, a nice narrow road between old farms. Driving all the way in, we suddenly find ourselves in Rotterdam. We now drive underneath the Brienenoord bridge. A nice place to take a photo at point 14. Nearby is also the storm surge barrier in the Hollandse IJssel https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stormvloedkering_Hollandse_IJssel at point 16 you can right across the bridge in the weekend, if this is not possible you have to detour a little bit as in the route. (Tomtom says you can) At point 18 you can make a nice picture of it.
At point 22 lunch at a nice restaurant near the ferry, before we sail. At point 34 you could reach a piece of the old bridge at Zaltbommel, you often drive along the highway but you have no idea how big it is.
Note there are 2 ferries in the route, take change, but also the debit card. With the most ferry services you can only pay with the debit card! Send a wonderful day.
