RouteXpert Review
The Transfăgărășan - the second highest road in Romania, but also the best known mountain route in the Carpathians. The achievement of the height of 2,034 meters above sea level, is marked on the map of figures 7C.

On the way we pass the Vidraru dam on the Ardżesz River. The dam itself is 160 meters high.
The Transfăgărășan route is roughly from mid-June to mid-October.
In 2009, Jeremy Clarkson along with the television crew of "Top Gear" shot there another episode of the famous show, in which they tested the latest models of Aston Martin, Ferrari and Lamborghini. The Transfogarsk route was described by them as "the best road to drive in the world".
