RouteXpert Review Bert Loorbach, the writer, is an enthusiastic motorcyclist himself and lived in France for a year and a half. During that time he devoted himself to mapping the unknown and beautiful roads of France especially for motorcyclists.

The ride starts in Tournon on the Rhone and ends in Saint-Martin-d'Ardèche.
The first part of the drive to Lamastre on the D534 is a succession of curves through a hilly landscape with forests and fruit orchards.
From Lamastre we take the D2 which runs over the Col de Montreynaud to Vernoux-en-Vivarais and then to Ollières-sur-Eyrieux, this winding road is a true feast for motorcyclists and the center of the tires will not wear a millimeter.
The next stage will run over Col du moulin à vent to Privas, again a feast of turns. Just before Privas you have a beautiful view of the city and the Boogbrug (RP12). In Privas RP13 it is a good time to take a break, this is one of the larger places in the Ardèche and here you will find a number of restaurants and cafés.
From Privas we take the D7, a road with lovely curves and a number of hair clips through a very rugged landscape to Vallon-Pont-d'Arc (RP20), one of the tourist attractions of the Ardèche, where we stop for lunch to visit the town.
After lunch drive along a beautiful road to our final destination Saint-Martin-d'Ardèche. This last stage leads through the Gorges de l'Ardeche and this is a real highlight. The road winds along the river Ardeche to the South-East, sometimes near the water and sometimes high above it, with a hairpin here and there. Along the way there are a number of places where you can stop to enjoy the view and one to shoot a photo. One is a must with RP21 and RP22 of the Pont d'Arc. Just before the final destination at RP26 you can visit the Madeleine Caverns, these caves are one of the most beautiful in France, with grandiose proportions, groups of cave formations in surprising shapes and colors.
This route is worth 5 stars because of the beautiful winding roads, beautiful nature, charming villages and Pont d'Arc.

24 Magnificent trails in France
It is clear that France is one of the most beautiful and best touring countries. It offers an incredibly varied landscape with good roads and a pleasant climate. It is not for nothing that you see so many motorcyclists there. My previous collection of 25 routes in France (25 Magnificent routes in France) were based on the route descriptions from the Motortourgids France part 1 made by Bert Loorbach.
This collection of 24 routes comes from Motortourgids France part 2. In this collection, a difference has been made between approach routes and motorcycle tours in a certain area. The approach routes can also be used in combination with the routes from Motortourgids France part 1
The routes are sometimes slightly adjusted based on the tips that Bert Loorbach gives in his description, or because of another place to spend the night, or to reach the minimum length of 2 hours for the MRA Library. For each route, the review contains a more detailed description, including options to stay overnight or places of interest along the way, which are also indicated with a POI and if possible with a short description.
Two or more routes have been created for a number of areas, such as for Burgundy, Auvergne, The Alps, Tarn and Cévennes and Nord-Pas de Calais. These routes can be nicely combined in a multi-day trip.
