Route Summary This is the 1st day, from the starting point in Geldermalsen, the Netherlands, you drive over provincial roads through the Dutch provinces of North Brabant and Limburg to the Eifel in Germany, ending in Cochem on the river Mosel.
You drive over dikes along rivers, through forests, mountain roads and valleys, so enjoy. There are stops planned for something to drink and eat, there are no sights included in the route.
This tour is worth 4 stars because of the beautiful roads through North Brabant, Limburg and the Eifel.

RouteXpert Review This review describes the first day, we start early at the meeting point in Geldermalsen because we have more than 370 kilometers ahead of us and there is not an inch of highway in it.
The end point is Cochem on the Moselle, where we spend the night in one of the many hotels.
We avoid the highway and the first part of the journey goes through the beautiful North Brabant and Limburg landscape. Part of the route runs along rivers and lakes.
Along the way you will pass nice little villages where you can stop for a short break.
In Venlo we stop for lunch, along the Maas and in the center there are several restaurants, snack bars and cafes for a tasty lunch.
At Venlo we cross the border into Germany and drive over provincial roads to Düren, a small town near Aachen where you can easily stop for a short break for a drink and a bite to eat.
After Düren we dive into the Eifel and it becomes interesting, beautiful roads through hills and mountains with many bends, from Bad Münstereifel it becomes seriously nice to drive with many hairpin bends, ascents and descents, so enjoy!!!
In the evening we arrive in Cochem, where there are several hotels and/or campsites to spend the night.
We stayed at Hotel Zehnthof. Nice spacious rooms, very extensive breakfast and a closed garage for the motorcycles (for a fee).
