Route Summary The route goes through the Polder, over beautiful winding dikes and through the Weerribben National Park.
You will pass a number of historical pumping stations, bridges and villages. You can visit the Hanseatic city of Kampen and Blokzijl.
Departure and end point Lelystad.

RouteXpert Review The start and end point are in Lelystad (my hometown).
Via Harderwijk, Voorthuizen, Vaassen we drive over the Veluwe to Vliegveld Teuge near Apeldoorn. These are beautiful country roads through the heath and forests of the Hoge Veluwe. On the way you pass several small villages, estates and farms.
At Teuge airfield you can view the (glider) planes, hang gliders, parachutists or the old aircraft that are on display there.
From Teuge we drive via Bussloo and de Wilp to the Bandijk, here begins a beautiful series of dikes, wonderful bends, beautiful new asphalt and a beautiful environment. You drive along the IJssel. Please note that on beautiful weekend days there is a lot of traffic, including cyclists. The dikes are narrow and the maximum speed is 60 km/h and there are regular checks. On the dike there is the possibility to take a short break at the Eet Tapperij Bijsterbosch
After the dike road you can stop to stretch your legs in Kampen, a nice old town with many cafes and restaurants, so ideal to plan a lunch. From Kampen we drive to nature park Weerribben-Wieden, two nature reserves with many lakes and rivers. Again beautiful roads through a beautiful environment.
Via the beautiful winding Hammerdijk we drive to Blokzijl turns into the Vollenhoofsedijk, a beautiful dike road of about 16 kilometers. In the village of Blokzijl with its cozy inner harbor, you can stop for a short break and something to drink.
Be sure to stop at the AK Stroink Pumping Station, a beautiful place to stop and enjoy the surroundings and take some pictures.
You drive back to Lelystad via Nagele and the Ketelbrug.
I rate this ride with 4 stars because of the beautiful varied surroundings and wonderfully winding country roads and dikes.

About this region
Flevoland (Dutch: [ˈfleːvoːlɑnt] (listen)) is the 12th and youngest province of the Netherlands, established in 1986, when the Southern and Eastern Flevopolders, together with the Noordoostpolder were merged into one provincial entity. It is in the centre of the country in the former Zuiderzee, which was turned into the freshwater IJsselmeer by the closure of the Afsluitdijk in 1932. Almost all of the land belonging to Flevoland was reclaimed in the 1950s and 1960s while splitting the Markermeer and Bordering lakes from the IJsselmeer. As to dry land, it is the smallest province of the Netherlands at 1,412 km2 (545 sq mi), but not gross land as that includes much of the waters of the fresh water lakes (meres) mentioned. The province has a population of 423,021 as of January 2020 and consists of six municipalities. Its capital is Lelystad and its most populous city is Almere.
Flevoland is bordered in the extreme north by Friesland, in the northeast by Overijssel, and in the northwest by the lakes Markermeer and IJsselmeer. In the southeast, the province borders on Gelderland, and in the southwest on Utrecht and North Holland.
