This is the 36th in a series of 43 Endangered ANWB routes. These have been published in the Promotors between April 2015 and September 2016.
My 35th review of a route that I did not make and did not drive (yet). I checked all route points and placed them neatly on the road. I have also set the starting point and end point of the route a bit further apart to avoid navigating directly to the end point.
Finally, I made the route the same for TomTom, Garmin and MyRoute-app Navigation users.

These watercourses are almost always the remnants of wide channels through which once salty seawater could penetrate deep into the untouched land. The route has the honor of being able to wear the title Krekenroute, thanks to De Braakman.
This was once a small Wadden Sea with tidal flats, salt marshes and small and large creeks. From 1612 - the beginning of the Twelve Years' File - the recapture of flooded land began. In 1952 the remainder was closed off from the Westerschelde by the Wevelswaaldijk. (Source: Promoter No. 01-2016).
Because I have not (yet) driven this route myself, I have rated this route with 3 stars!
