A dream ride with several highlights such as the Serra da Estrela, Torre and Glacier Valley. There is no better route in Portugal. In fact, and this is very personal, I like this route better than the famous Alpine passes. That is because it is very quiet, not in line to the top, not all coffee and cake in the same restaurant. And yet only 4 stars instead of the full 5 stars. That is because it is a connecting route, part of a journey. That is why there is also a motorway and the route is too long to be able to take some time to look at things.
