Route Summary
Ever since the early 90s of the last century, ANWB / Promoter has been setting out the so-called TankTasTocht (TTT). You understand that the name still comes from the GPS-free era, when motorcyclists still searched their way on inland roads with a roadbook in the tank bag or router roll. This TTT are touring through the Netherlands with the occasional trip to Belgium, Germany or even Luxembourg, which are driven 6 to 7 times a year. The 1st around March and the last around October. These TTTs have a starting point, a pause location and an end point. It is nice to discover what you have not seen in your own country and which nice roads you did not know before.
This TTT is from 2017, so the route may differ slightly from the original.
I have checked all route points and, where necessary, placed them neatly on the road. Also, if necessary, I have further set the starting point and end point of the route a little further apart to prevent navigation to the end point directly and added the POI files of the start and end point, as well as possible pause location (s).
Finally, I made the route the same for TomTom, Garmin and MRA Navigation users.
Thanks to ANWB / Promoter.

RouteXpert Review
The 5th Tank Bag Tour of 2017 has the start and end points in .... Groningen. Did you know that Groningen Polderland has one of the oldest cultural landscapes in Europe? Yes, and even lots of lakes. Wouldn't you expect anyway?
All beautifully natural and beautiful, but to be honest you don't drive 200 km for just a nice polder. It is about the beautiful motorways. And let Groningen have a lot of that. The TankTasTocht starts in Groningen and then the gas goes directly on and you go to places like Ezinge, Aduard and Kleine Huisjes. This last hamlet has no fewer than 80 inhabitants. Halfway along the route a coffee stop at Cafe Restauarant Bulthuis in Eenrum. After many turns you finally arrive in Ten Post, where you can take a picture of your two-wheeler at Restaurant Bij De Molen. After catching your breath you can go en route again. The tour ends in villa village Haren, the Wassenaar of the north. (Source: Promotor 06-2017).
Because I have not (yet) driven this route myself, this route gets 3 stars.
General information:
Start: McDonald's, Atoomweg 1, Groningen.
End: Pavilion Sassenheim, Lutsborgsweg 53, Haren (Groningen)
rp 19 - Cafe Restauarant Bulthuis. - Coffee / lunch stop
rp 30 - Restaurant Bij de Molen. - With your motorcycle at the mill in the photo.

The 10 most beautiful car and motorcycle routes in the Netherlands
These 10 routes in the Netherlands have been carefully selected, checked and made equal for TomTom, Garmin and MyRoute-app Navigation by a MyRoute-app RouteXpert. The 10 most beautiful motorcycle and car routes in the Netherlands are always a snapshot, and a personal opinion of the reviewer. This does not alter the fact that every lover of beautiful roads and interesting sights will enjoy these routes.
The ten routes are spread over 10 provinces, we only skipped Flevoland and South Holland. Interesting routes can also be found in the MyRoute app RouteXpert library, but we still want to stick to the 10 most beautiful and not the 12 most beautiful.
Enjoy the many fortresses and castles that are included in the routes, such as Fort Veldhuis in North Holland. But also take a look at the route southeast of Nijmegen and visit the impressive Canadian War Cemetery and Memorial. The route 'Overijssel in bird's eye view' includes the oldest house in the Netherlands and the route along the IJssel is probably the most beautiful piece of asphalt in the Netherlands.
This way there is something for everyone in this route collection. If you do not agree with these 10 routes, please send us an e-mail, indicate which route(s) should be removed and which route you would like to see instead. Maybe your route will be included in this collection of the 10 most beautiful routes in the Netherlands!

Friesland officially, Frisian: Fryslân is a province in the north of the Netherlands. Friesland had 660,560 inhabitants in 2018. The capital is Leeuwarden. In addition to Dutch, Frisian has the status of administrative language in the province. But who does not know Friesland from the Elfstedentocht? An unparalleled skating festival, unfortunately it has been a long time since the last Elfsteden tour was held in Friesland, January 4, 1997 to be precise.

For this purpose, a MyRoute app RouteXpert has compiled a Top 10 of Car and Motorcycle routes for you.
All routes in this collection have been checked and made equal for TomTom, Garmin and MyRoute-app Navigation by a MyRoute-app RouteXpert.
If you think, I have a very nice route that should certainly not be missing from this collection, send it to:
